GramInn Non-Profit Organization conducted an Evening Talk with Senior Citizens at Ward 4, Cherukattoor, on 10 September 2026, creating a warm and welcoming space for senior citizens to come together, interact, and share their experiences.
A total of 19 senior citizens participated in the programme. The interactive evening provided an opportunity for participants to engage in meaningful conversations, build social connections, and spend time together in a supportive community environment.
The programme was facilitated by interns from Alphonsa College, Sulthan Bathery, with the support of Ms. Karthika, Field Social Worker, and Ms. Chandana, Programme Coordinator, GramInn.
As part of the programme, a Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7) screening was conducted to promote awareness of mental well-being and encourage participants to pay attention to their emotional health. The screening formed part of GramInn’s efforts to integrate mental health awareness into community-based programmes for senior citizens.
The evening created a positive atmosphere of companionship, conversation, and community participation, highlighting the importance of social interaction and emotional well-being among older adults. Through such initiatives, GramInn continues to promote inclusive community engagement and support the overall well-being and dignity of senior citizens.
