Mental Health Awareness Session for Women Held at Ward 24

6 September 2026 | Ward 24

GramInn Non-Profit Organization conducted a Mental Health Awareness Session for Women at Ward 24 on 6 September 2026, with the aim of promoting emotional well-being, creating awareness about mental health, and helping participants develop healthy ways of managing everyday stress.

The session was attended by 17 women participants and provided an opportunity to openly discuss the importance of mental health and self-care. The programme focused on improving participants’ understanding of emotional well-being and identifying practical ways to cope with stress and other challenges in daily life.

As part of the session, participants engaged in various stress-releasing and relaxation activities designed to promote emotional balance and encourage positive coping practices. A Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7) screening was also conducted to help participants reflect on their experiences of anxiety and identify the need for further support where appropriate.

The session was facilitated by Ms. Chandana, Programme Coordinator, and Ms. Aleena, Volunteer, representing GramInn Non-Profit Organization. Through interactive discussions and activities, the facilitators encouraged participants to recognize the importance of seeking support, maintaining healthy coping mechanisms, and giving adequate attention to their mental well-being.

The programme highlighted GramInn’s continued commitment to promoting mental health awareness and strengthening community-based support for women. Such initiatives contribute to creating a more informed, supportive, and mentally healthy community.
