As part of Project HEAL (Holistic Empowerment through Accessible Local Care), GramInn Charitable Trust conducted an Evening Talk for elderly persons on 18 June 2026 at 6th Mile Koovamoolakunnu (Ward 2), Panamaram Grama Panchayat. Seven elderly participants actively engaged in the programme, which aimed to promote social connection, self-expression, and overall well-being.
The session was facilitated by Ms. Reena Varghese (Director), Ms. Chandana S (Staff Member), Mr. Minhaj C.K (Volunteer Staff), and Ms. Aleena (Volunteer). Research Scholar Ms. Adeena also addressed the participants, providing an overview of basic legal aid services available to senior citizens.
Activities included self-introductions, sharing of life experiences, and an interactive ball-passing exercise that encouraged participants to express their needs and aspirations. A Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) screening was also conducted to assess mental well-being and support future interventions.
The programme created a warm and inclusive environment, and participants expressed appreciation for the initiative, requesting similar activities in the future.
