GramInn Non-Profit Organization conducted a Mental Health Awareness Session for Women at Pallikunn on 13 September 2026, with the objective of promoting awareness about mental health, encouraging self-care, and supporting women in developing healthy ways to manage stress and emotional challenges.
The session was attended by 21 women participants and provided a supportive platform for discussing the importance of mental well-being. The programme focused on creating awareness about common emotional and psychological concerns and encouraging participants to recognize the importance of seeking support when needed.
As part of the session, a Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7) screening was conducted to help participants assess symptoms related to anxiety. The activity also encouraged greater awareness of personal emotional well-being and the importance of timely support and intervention.
The session was facilitated by Ms. Karthika, Field Social Worker, GramInn, along with Aleena, Volunteer. Through interactive discussions and activities, the facilitators encouraged participants to adopt positive coping strategies and give greater attention to their mental health and overall well-being.
The programme reflects GramInn’s ongoing commitment to promoting mental health awareness and strengthening community-based support for women. Through such initiatives, GramInn continues to work towards building healthier, more informed, and supportive communities.
