Fostering Joy, Connection, and Well-Being Among Elderly Community Members

Graminn Charitable Trust successfully conducted an engaging and meaningful community session for elderly members on 29 May 2026 at Palukunnu, Panamaram Grama Panchayat. The programme was facilitated by MSW interns Ms. Chandana S and Ms. Aleena T.J., with the participation of nine enthusiastic community members.

The session began with a lively Tambola game, which brought excitement, laughter, and active participation from all attendees. This was followed by a guided meditation session that promoted relaxation, mindfulness, and emotional well-being. Throughout the programme, participants actively engaged in social interaction, creating a warm and supportive environment that encouraged connection and companionship.

During the feedback session, Devakiyamma, one of the participants, expressed her happiness and appreciation for the programme. She remarked that more sessions of this kind should be organized in the future, reflecting the positive impact the event had on the participants.

The programme was highly successful in fostering social connection, emotional well-being, and meaningful engagement among elderly community members. Graminn Charitable Trust remains committed to creating opportunities that enhance the quality of life and promote the overall well-being of senior citizens in the community.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all participants and facilitators for making the programme a memorable and successful experience.
