GramInn Non-Profit Charitable Trust successfully conducted the second phase of its dedicated food drive on April 12, 2026. Organized at the Koolivayal premises, the initiative specifically targeted tribal families and vulnerable groups currently facing severe economic distress.
The drive was led by Reena Varghese, Director of GramInn, alongside Field Coordinator Biju Thomas. They were supported by a dedicated volunteer team, including Ann Susan, Mary and others who worked on the ground to ensure that essential supplies reached every identified family in the region.
The distribution of comprehensive food material kits brought a visible sense of relief and “smiles of hope” to a community struggling with basic subsistence. For many recipients, these kits represent a vital bridge during a period of significant hardship. Speaking at the event, Reena Varghese expressed deep appreciation for the collective effort that made the drive possible. “GramInn gratefully remembers all the donors who supported us financially and in kind,” she stated. “It is through their generosity that we are able to reach these families in their moments of greatest need.”
As GramInn continues its mission to support the marginalized, the trust remains committed to fostering resilience within Wayanad’s tribal settlements through consistent communal support and direct action.
